The Role
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD
* Supporting non-verbal communication, including PECS, visual timetables, Makaton, or AAC (where applicable)
* Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage sensory needs
* Supporting learning, personal care (where required), and social development
* Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
Essential Skills & Qualities
* Experience supporting children with ASD and/or non-verbal communication (school, care, or personal experience)
* Calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
* Understanding of sensory processing and behaviour as communication
* Ability to follow individual education and support plans
Desirable (but not essential)
* SEN training or qualifications
* Experience with PECS, Makaton, or AAC
* Background in SEN schools, care, or therapeutic settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
