Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts to achieve production goals.
2. Identify and implement cost-effective process improvements, including automation, tooling upgrades, and workflow optimizations.
3. Conduct time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and capacity planning to maximize efficiency and throughput.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and production managers, to ensure seamless process integration.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and meet targets.
6. Investigate and troubleshoot process failures, quality problems, and equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions.
7. Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and SOPs.
8. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure quality.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
10. Identify and eliminate waste, reduce variability, and streamline processes to optimize productivity and costs.
11. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement lean tools and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
12. Conduct process audits and performance evaluations to track progress and identify further improvement areas.
13. Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
14. Collaborate with vendors for proper installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
15. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment performance and longevity.
16. Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
17. Collaborate with quality engineers to develop and implement quality control plans.
18. Conduct process capability studies, statistical analysis, and gauge R&R studies to ensure process capability.
19. Participate in audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and certifications.
20. Maintain documentation and records to support regulatory requirements.
21. Lead or contribute to projects related to process improvement, new product introductions, and cost reduction.
22. Work with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and transfer from R&D to production.
23. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
24. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones, providing updates to stakeholders.
25. Ensure safety protocols are followed, addressing potential hazards and risks.
26. Stay updated with health, safety, and environmental regulations and ensure compliance.
Required Skills:
* Must be a US Person or eligible for required Export Authorization.
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and process optimization.
* Experience with CAD/CAM and manufacturing simulation tools.
* Proficiency in statistical analysis and process control techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
