What We’re Looking For Minimum Level 3 qualification in a related field (e.g. Health and Social Care, Education, Childcare). Safeguarding training and strong knowledge of child protection procedures. Previous experience in an education setting, ideally within a special school environment. Proven ability to work with children with autism and their families in a supportive capacity. Experience of multi-agency collaboration and partnership working. Full UK driving licence and willingness to conduct home visits when required. Liaise with families, local authorities, and external partners to address attendance concerns. Develop and implement attendance action plans and early interventions. Act as a first point of contact for families needing additional support, offering guidance and signposting where appropriate. Conduct home visits where necessary to strengthen engagement and understanding. Support the school’s safeguarding lead by recognising and reporting concerns in line with procedures.
