Position Summary
The main function of this role is to organize, direct, and perform verification and validation testing of products designed by the company.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
* Manage validation and verification projects from inception to release for magnetics products and power supplies.
* Maintain standards of qualification, validation, and verification, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures.
* Create test plans and schedules for validation and verification activities.
* Prepare and execute validation and verification tests according to plans and instructions.
* Design and prepare electro-mechanical fixtures for design verification, environmental validation, and other automated test equipment (ATE) systems.
* Analyze results statistically and report findings.
* Review and update test standards to ensure high-quality product delivery.
* Collaborate with design and production engineers to facilitate testing for performance verification.
* Multi-task effectively while maintaining professionalism.
* Provide first-line support for test systems used by team members.
* Contribute to the development of result presentation templates.
* Support other departments and locations as needed.
* Oversee and define work for subordinate engineers and technicians.
* Understand concepts of PFMEA, DFMEAs, control plans, and IATF requirements.
* Understand electrical safety standards such as IEC62368 and 60601.
Experience Required
Essential competencies include:
* HND or equivalent qualification in electronics or related field; relevant experience considered.
* Structured approach to time management and task execution.
* Proficiency with MS Office.
* Effective team player with self-motivation.
* Proactive communicator capable of driving projects.
* Organized with ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Experience with electrical safety standards.
* Experience in qualification, environmental, and validation testing.
* Experience in reliability engineering.
* PCB design and layout skills.
* Mechanical design and modeling skills.
* Knowledge of Excel macros/VBA.
* Coding experience, especially in test environments like TestStand.
* Statistical analysis skills.
