Seeking a Behaviour Mentor / LSA / TA / Mental Health Support Worker!
- Are you passionate about working with SEND/SEMH pupils?
A specialist provision in Southend is looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant to support students with SEMH and associated complex needs, aged 11-16 years.
This role is dedicated to those who want to inspire students with SEMH, many of whom have experienced trauma, distress, and toxicity.
The right candidate will need to be confident with de-escalation strategies, robust, and able to build strong rapport to break down barriers to learning.
You must also be empathetic and have a good understanding or background in special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health.
A positive energy, resilience, and hard work are essential. An outdoor/sports/activity coordinator background or creative arts/food tech background would be advantageous, as the role involves outdoor and creative activities.
You must be available to work between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. A competitive salary is offered.

All pay rates quoted include statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later.
