Ascent Recruitment is pleased to be working with a successful and highly regarded business in Wilmslow that is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a Finance Analyst/Assistant Management Accountant.
This role has a strong commercial finance analyst focus, ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, providing insight, and partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
The Role:
You'll support the team with analysis, forecasting, and projects that directly influence business decisions.
Key responsibilities:
* Tracking project costs
* Producing compliance reports and analysis
* Preparing daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts for senior decision-making
* Working with Department Heads and Project Managers to accurately forecast cash flows
* Assisting with ad hoc analysis
The Person:
We're looking for someone ambitious and analytical, someone who can see beyond the numbers and add real value to the business.
Key skills/experience:
* Strong analytical ability with advanced Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
* Comfortable working with large volumes of data
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
* Strong communicator who enjoys working across departments
