FINTEC recruit is seeking a Graduate Asset Integrity Engineer for our engineering client based in Warrington. This is a permanent role, salary negotiable by experience up to circa £30,000 plus benefits. Working within the asset integrity team of up to 10 engineers. There will be a requirement to undertake some travel with this role away from home UK & abroad for on & offshore projects. Onsite involves working Monday to Friday whereas offshore is home for typically 1 - 2 weeks away, including weekends. You will be expected to have a good understanding of vibration and dynamic behaviour of structures and machines
Responsibilities:
• Undertaking structural vibration assessments
• Asset integrity monitoring which includes system design and configuration
• Implementation and design of pipework vibration solutions & process pipework assessments
• Liaison with customers on & off site in determining project requirements
• Able to assist with preparation technical & commercial proposals
• Prepare Method statement, Risk Assessment and Job/Project Specification.
• Using CAD, FEA or other specialist software’s to further investigate to attain practical solutions.
• Specification, design and configuration and implementation of structural monitoring systems.
• Onsite project management and instrumentation installation/data collection as required.
• Analysis, Writing reports and making recommendations
Skills and Experience required for the Graduate Risk Assessment Engineer
• Hold a Degree in a relevant engineering subject with broad mechanical engineering experience with supplementary practical skills.
• Able to pass offshore medical and offshore survival course.
• A full driving license is required.
• Have knowledge of electrical engineering
• Be ideally BSSM level 1 or 2 certified
• Have a good understanding of vibration and dynamic behaviour of structures and machines.
• Good understanding of metal fatigue failure mechanisms & structural vibration, measurement, assessment and problem solving.
• Knowledge of configuration, installation and use of instrumentation and data logging systems for the measurement of strain, vibration, displacement, pressure, temperature etc.
• Knowledge of data analysis and signal processing, FEA (ANSYS) and operation Deflections Shape (ODS) Assessments
• Knowledge of process piping vibration assessment and problem solving (in accordance with Energy Institute guidelines)
• Competent in the installation and configuration of strain gauges, • HBM Glyphworks, MEScope
• Knowledge of Motion Amplification techniques.
• Knowledge of online monitoring systems.
