We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to ensure safe, on-time train departures and provide top-notch customer support at the station. If you're a self-starter with great communication skills and a can-do attitude, this could be the perfect role for you!
What You'll Do?
1. Provide outstanding customer service and assistance.
2. Ensure safe and timely train dispatch.
3. Provide helpful information and assistance to customers.
4. Prioritise the safety of customers, colleagues, and visitors.
5. Keep the station clean and secure.
6. Collaborate with teams to provide real-time information during disruptions.
7. Enhance customer security through your strong visibility within the station.
What We're Looking For?
8. Strong team player, able to work independently.
9. Excellent communication and basic numeracy skills.
10. Computer literate and comfortable using apps.
Working Pattern?
You must be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Due to the nature of the shifts work involved in these roles, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
What to Expect?
11. After submitting your application, you will be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test ((recommended on a laptop/computer).
12. Shortlisted candidates will be invited complete an online assessment – Train Dispatch Multi-Tasking Test (recommended on a laptop/computer).
13. Successful candidates will be invited for a competency-based interview tentatively scheduled week commencing 02 March 2026
14. Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a colour vision test and drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Basic DBS check.
15. Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
