Additional days added for long service *Why you?* * You will be able to help provide high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of the children * You are able to provide play based learning opportunities for all children * You will be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures and maintain positive working relationships with the team, parents and carers * You will know when to report issues of concern to a senior team member * You have a positive attitude and creative ideas to inspire learning * You have good verbal and written communication skills with adults and children * You will have great planning and organisation skills * You will have a willingness to learn * Ensure high levels of interaction with children in order to help extend their learning * Support children at mealtimes ensuring these provide a positive social experience for the children * Provide support for children who are transitioning to new settings * Help children with feeding, changing clothes, nappies, toileting etc *Essentials* * Level 2 or above valid childcare qualification * GCSE- grades 5-9/A-C * Willingness to learn * Flexible mindset * Be able to learn to deal with the parents in a sympathetic and supportive manner * Able to ensure the safety and welfare of children by learning and following our policies and procedures * Committed to the safeguarding of the children in our care * Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative *Key responsibilities* * Contribute to a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage * Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is accurately maintained for key children * Prepare and supervise activities * Supervise and support children at all times * Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is provided to all children, parents, staff and visitors * Ensure that all children are kept safe * Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, colleagues and visitors * Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers * Work as part of a team to ensure the company’s values are maintained * Attend monthly staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required *Hear from one of our Early Years Assistants, Chloe:* I love the people that I work with.
