Job Type: Full-Time. Salary: £49,000 - £65,000 per annum + Pension. Role title: Senior Electrical Electronic Engineer (Warhead Engineering). Closing date: 9 September 2025. Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Working pattern: 9-day working fortnight. Flexible working requests will be considered. Responsibilities
* Leading the design, integration, and testing of electrical/electronic systems
* Delivering engineering solutions across the full lifecycle, ensuring safety and performance standards
* Driving technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation
* Managing stakeholders and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
* Presenting technical findings to internal and external audiences
Due to the classified nature of our work, this role is primarily site-based at AWE.
What We\'re Looking For
* Essential: HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5, or degree in a science/engineering discipline — or equivalent experience
* Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and people management abilities
* Ability to plan and deliver multiple objectives concurrently
* Desirable: Experience delivering engineering across safety-critical programmes
* Cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives
* Effective stakeholder engagement and influence
* Coaching and developing others within multidisciplinary teams
* Promoting high standards in safety, security, and quality

Other Information
You must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role and travel within the UK and overseas if required. Due to the classified nature of the work, there are limited opportunities to work from home; the successful candidate will spend the majority of time on site at AWE.
