Overview
Procurement Officer — Gloucestershire — 5276063 — £235.22 per day PAYE. Initial contract for 3 months.
In this role, you will provide expert guidance and support on a wide range of procurement and contract matters. You will lead tenders for goods and services, ensuring full compliance with council policies and legislative requirements, while driving best value, social value, and sustainability.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver procurement and contract management advice across the council.
* Lead and manage tenders in line with legislation and council procedures.
* Ensure goods and services deliver value for money, social value, and climate impact considerations.
* Build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Monitor and report on procurement activity to support compliance and performance.
Key Criteria
* Knowledge of public sector procurement policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Experience in procurement, commissioning, contract management, or a related field such as legal background.
* Strong organisational, analytical, and IT skills.
* Effective communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to deliver results within demanding timescales and budgets.
