An opportunity has arisen in our Market Planning & Delivery Team and we are looking for a Senior Category Manager to join us at our offices in Plumpton Park, Harrogate. As a Senior Category Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing the Category Management function, building strong team capability and delivering long-term category strategies that drive growth for shoppers, customers, and Taylors. You will also ensure that we have powerful, insight-led category and shopper tools, strong retailer relationships, effective processes, and a continuous improvement mindset that enables best-in-class category leadership. About you - You’re an experienced category professional with a proven track record in FMCG. You bring proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire high-performing teams. You are an expert in developing robust Category Strategies and plans that deliver sustainable growth for our retail partners, win with the shopper, and ensure our brands deliver strong, category-led plans. You build strong, trusting relationships with both our retailers and internal stakeholders. You are shopper- and category-focused and values-led, with the ability to understand the wider commercial context. You’re an exceptional communicator, able to craft compelling presentations and tailor your message to different audiences. You take pride in accuracy and attention to detail, producing high-quality work while managing multiple priorities effectively. You’re highly analytical, confident in interpreting complex data and turning insights into clear recommendations. With a strong understanding of shopper behaviour, category strategy principles, retailer dynamics, and key data sources and tools, you stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity.
