Salary - £24,790 FTE - actual salary £16,604, term time only plus 2 days
The Role
A secondary academy in the East Riding of Yorkshire seeks to appoint a Teaching Assistant from as soon as possible. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide specific assistance to children with special educational needs within the school environment and on school outings, as well as general support to teaching staff regarding these students. You should have a clear understanding of the range of difficulties that students present in mainstream schools and be able to demonstrate suitable strategies to enable these children to fulfill their potential and participate fully in all aspects of the National Curriculum and school life.
The School
An East Riding-based secondary academy, located approximately six miles west of Hull. The Academy is part of a large multi-academy trust that benefits from collaborative practice and leadership.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
* GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
* Experience working with young people
* A proactive attitude
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* A Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification and experience working with young people are desirable but not essential
This role may be offered on a 'temp to perm' basis, initially working on supply via Vision For Education for a term before transitioning to a permanent contract with the academy.
