Job Summary
St Johns House Medical Centre, Worcester is looking for a committed salaried GP to join our practice team to help shape our future growth. We have strong connections to our PCN, with a great multi-generational patient population.
The Practice
List size of 13,800.
Innovative and supportive team comprising two partners, six GPs, three trainee ACPs, two practice pharmacists, three nurses, three HCAs, a practice manager, an operations manager, reception managers, receptionists, administrators and secretaries.
High-performing in ICB and PCN contracts across indicators, including referrals and prescribing.
Bi-weekly MDT with social and community care.
Training practice.
The Role
6 sessions working on Monday, Thursday & Friday.
Interests and personal development strongly encouraged.
Support for being/becoming a trainer for interested candidates.
Mentorship for portfolio roles, including future leadership roles in the wider community/health care.

Responsibilities
* Act in accordance with clinical governance standards and report concerns to partners promptly.
* Provide surgery consultations, telephone consultations, house visits, repeat prescriptions, and electronic prescription actions.
* Make autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems.
* Assess NCD, screen for disease risk, develop care plans, provide counselling and health education.
* Admit or discharge patients; refer to other providers as needed.
* Record consultation notes and complete clinical templates.
* Collect and use audit data.
* Prescribe in accordance with practice standards and guidelines.
* Address additional GP duties within primary care.
* Ensure compliance with policies (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, QOF, CQC).
* Support life‑long learning, audit, standard setting, patient record development and summarisation.
* Attend training, participate in practice meetings, provide requested information, undertake QOF domain responsibilities, and meet audit deadlines.

Qualifications
* GMC Registered GP
* On Performers List
* DBS Clearance
* Member of an approved medical defence organisation
Experience (Essential)
* Sound knowledge of QOF requirements, NICE guidelines, and commitment to quality service.
* Confident decision-making, workload management, delegation.
* Good record keeping and communication skills.
Experience (Desirable)
* Special interest in a specific area of primary care.
