I'm currently supporting the search for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established UK organisation operating critical business and manufacturing systems.
This is a senior infrastructure role, acting as a key technical escalation point and subject matter expert across on‑premise and cloud environments. You'll play a vital role in maintaining the stability, performance, and availability of core IT services while contributing to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing 3rd line support across desktop, server, network, and cloud environments
* Supporting and maintaining Hyper‑V infrastructure and Microsoft technologies
* Administering and optimising AWS‑hosted business‑critical systems
* Managing wired and wireless networking infrastructure
* Leading technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service improvements
* Participating in infrastructure projects, technical design, and implementations
* Mentoring junior team members and promoting best practice across IT operations
* Working within ITIL‑based processes for incident, problem, and change management
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role
* Microsoft Server, Office 365, and Active Directory expertise
* Networking knowledge including Wi‑Fi technologies
* Understanding of PC hardware and infrastructure support
* Solid knowledge of ITIL principles and service management processes
