Job Description
This Legal Counsel- Ethics & Compliance is based in London and would suit a qualified Lawyer with focused compliance experience or a Corporate Compliance professional who has contract review experience. It involves:
* Provide legal advice and guidance on compliance matters across the organisation.
* Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
* Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
* Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate legal risks.
* Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
* Deliver training and support to internal teams on compliance and legal matters.
* Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their impact on the organisation.
* with external counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Counsel-Compliance should have:
* A degree in law and qualification to practise as a solicitor or equivalent. Candidates who are not qualified lawyers, but have the relevant compliance expertise & experience will be considered.
* Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
* Proven ability to manage legal risks and provide strategic advice.
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for contracts and agreements.
* Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
