The role:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

Working within the Children and Families Health Visiting team, you will contribute to working with colleagues both from health and partner organisations to support families. You will provide the highest quality, needs‑led, evidence‑based care within a designated caseload.

We are committed to fully inducting our staff and to providing them with various training and shadowing opportunities within the multi‑agency team.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
* This is a full‑time permanent post of 36 hours per week.
* Based at Castlemilk Health Centre 71 Dougrie Rd, Glasgow G45 9AW.
* The shift pattern is Monday to Friday.
* This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
Key responsibilities:
Provide high‑quality, needs‑led, evidence‑based health visiting services for children and families, working with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations. Support families in a designated caseload and contribute to broader GIRFEC initiatives.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
* Registered Health Visitor / Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* IT skills – word processing, e‑mail, internet
* Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Car driver
