Position Overview
Assist in daily pharmacy operations by processing payments, managing inventory, providing excellent customer service, and supporting pharmacy staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
1. Process payments for prescriptions and over-the-counter items using various payment methods.
2. Handle confidential patient information following HIPAA guidelines.
3. Manage change requests and bank deposits as needed.
4. Organize medication bags alphabetically post-verification.
5. Provide friendly customer service, greeting patients and directing them appropriately.
6. Deliver medications to patients' bedside and curbside upon request.
7. Discuss Meds to Go with patients before discharge.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy areas.
9. Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and reordering.
10. Screen calls and respond to inquiries within scope of practice.
11. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and policies.
12. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to prioritize prescriptions.
13. Refer unresolved or outside scope issues to the Pharmacy Manager.
14. Provide service excellence to patients, visitors, and staff.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED.
* Customer service and/or cashier experience preferred.
* Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
Schedule: Per Diem, Rotating Days, No Weekends & No Holidays.
Location: Massachusetts-Falmouth, under Falmouth Hospital Association.
