Your New RoleAs an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support children within an EYFS setting, working closely with the class teacher and Early Years staff to help deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities. You will assist with phonics, play-based learning, and daily routines, supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development. You may work with small groups or provide 1:1 support where required, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. Your role will be vital in encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a love of learning from an early age.
What You’ll Need to SucceedTo succeed in this role, you will need previous experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years or childcare setting. You should have a caring, patient, and proactive approach, with a strong understanding of child development. Confidence in supporting children of varying abilities, including those with additional needs, is important. Strongmunication skills, flexibility, and a genuine passion for Early Years education will help you thrive in this rewarding position.
