About The Role
The successful applicant will plan, prepare, and deliver Animal Care lessons (groups of up to 6) and learning programmes based on subject and accreditation requirements and the individual needs of pupils. To be an inspiring instructor and develop the provision for active learning and to provide personal support to enable pupils to reach their potential both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient and effective use of teaching materials and resources and the proper care and maintenance of equipment and the teaching environment.
* Maintain a sound understanding of the needs of pupils at Bankside College through training, personal, and professional development.
* Comply with professional codes of practice and standards.
About Us
Bankside College is an exciting new venture near Hanley Castle, Worcester. Working in partnership with the Outcomes First Group and Options Autism, the College provides a Further Education experience for 16 to 24-year-olds with autism, complex needs, and learning disabilities. The main aim is to help students prepare for adulthood and their next stage in life.
In a purpose-built building in natural surroundings, Bankside College offers a varied, individualised curriculum to help students gain vocational and independence skills, including practical activities, Maths, English, and Digital Literacy. The curriculum focuses on individual targets, personal skills, and enrichment activities like The Duke of Edinburgh Award, supported work experience, social enterprise programmes, and volunteering.
Options Autism has over 16 years of experience in care and education for pupils and adults with autism and complex needs. As part of Outcomes First Group, we lead in setting and delivering innovative, measurable outcomes. In 2024, Outcomes First Group was certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the fifth consecutive year.
