BMS Project Engineer (Building Energy Management Systems)
Salary: £50,000 £65,000 DOE

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced BMS Project Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering small to medium-sized BMS projects, including system upgrades, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of clients.
Projects span multiple sectors including commercial, education, and leisure, providing an exciting opportunity to work on varied and technically engaging assignments.
This position combines hands-on engineering with project leadership, requiring you to manage BMS software strategies, collaborate closely with Project Managers, and lead small teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver BMS project works from design through commissioning and handover
* Manage and execute BMS installation, upgrade, and optimisation projects
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance, supporting energy-saving strategies through BMS platforms
* Develop and modify software strategies across Trenda and Tridium
* Conduct RAMS reviews and ensure strict Health & Safety compliance across all sites
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery
* Oversee installation and commissioning, ensuring projects remain within budget and timeline
* Stay up to date with latest BMS technologies and support continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
* Strong experience working with BMS systems, particularly Trend (IQ Vision desirable) and Tridium
* Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC/ONC or equivalent)
* Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
* Proactive mindset with a passion for sustainability and ethical engineering
