* Proven experience in event planning and delivery within a convention centre, large‑scale venue or hospitality environment.
* Client‑focused approach with strong relationship‑building skills.
* Experience with event management systems (Ungerboeck experience highly desirable).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills – professional, clear, and persuasive.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple events and priorities.
* Proactive, can‑do mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, live‑event environment.
* High standards in personal presentation and a professional attitude at all times.
* Sharp eye for quality and a proactive approach to ensuring service excellence.
Responsibilities
* Oversee end‑to‑end planning, coordination and delivery of conferences and events.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life seamlessly.
* Manage events on‑site during build, live operation and breakdown, liaising with internal departments and service partners.
* Ensure all events meet health & safety requirements, operational standards and client expectations.
* Coordinate logistics, including floor plans, IT solutions, branding, staffing and equipment.
* Manage and control event budgets, additional costs and final invoices in collaboration with Finance.
* Identify opportunities to upsell and maximise event revenue during the planning process.
* Lead, motivate and support the team, fostering a positive, customer‑focused culture.
* Produce post‑event reports, identifying improvements and sharing best practice.
* Continuously innovate and improve procedures to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
