A leading motion‑control specialist is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth across a diverse portfolio of motors, drives, actuators, gearboxes, systems and associated instrumentation. This is a newly created hybrid role with real influence, combining hands‑on technical sales with strategic leadership of Applications Engineers.
If you thrive on solving complex engineering challenges while building strong commercial relationships, this role puts you right at the centre of high‑value projects across automation, simulation, packaging, medical, automotive, aerospace and defence sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Developing new business using modern digital sales tools
* Visiting customers 2–3 days per week to uncover and win opportunities
* Leading Applications Engineers to deliver key technical projects
* Working closely with internal teams and suppliers on new products and solutions
* Supporting customers with technical design input for bespoke applications
* Managing CRM activity and building a strong, qualified pipeline
* Growing existing accounts and expanding product penetration
* Meeting and exceeding personal and company sales & margin targets
What You Bring
* Proven technical sales experience
* Strong new business development capability
* Background in motors, drives, gearboxes or motion systems
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* CRM experience essential
* HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
