Business Analyst Location: Hybrid / London Rate: £500 per day outside IR35 Duration: 3-month minimum contract Start: ASAP Overview A leading consultancy is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile client engagement in London, working on a hybrid basis. The role will focus on translating business requirements into actionable data insights, working closely with platform and technical teams to deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. This is a hands-on role suited to a Business Analyst with strong data, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Key Responsibilities Elicit, analyse, and document business and reporting requirements in line with SFIA Level 4 standards Coordinate with platform teams to set up and manage Power BI workspaces Configure and manage development and production environments, ensuring appropriate governance and access controls Manage data connectivity across multiple data sources Work directly with raw data sources to: Clean, transform, and model data using Power Query and DAX Prepare datasets for manual loading into Power BI Design, build, and maintain interactive and visually engaging dashboards using Power BI Desktop Validate data accuracy and ensure dashboards meet business requirements Support stakeholders with insights, documentation, and dashboard walkthroughs Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Business Analyst Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop Solid knowledge of Power Query and DAX Experience working with raw and unstructured data sources Understanding of environment management (dev/prod) and data governance Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Experience working within large consultancies or complex enterprise environments Ability to work hybrid / London-based Desirable Background in data analytics or reporting-focused initiatives Experience coordinating with platform, cloud, or data engineering teams Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies Contract Details Rate: £500 per day outside IR35 Duration: 3 months minimum (extensions likely) Location: Hybrid / London Reasonable Adjustments: Respect and equality are core values to us.
