Maintenance Operative. St Helens Hall Care Home
Hourly Rate: £13.17
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Shift Pattern: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Are you a skilled and proactive Maintenance Operative looking for your next opportunity? At St Helens Hall Care Home, part of the Sandstone Care Group, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our home remains safe, secure, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
Property Maintenance: Carry out routine and emergency repairs, basic plumbing, decorating, and general upkeep.
Safety Checks: Conduct regular inspections of fire alarms, boilers, lifts, and other systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Groundskeeping: Maintain gardens, car parks, and outdoor areas to a high standard.
Stock Management: Order and manage tools, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
Team Support: Assist with staff inductions, including building orientation and fire safety procedures.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and safety checks.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in property maintenance, including basic plumbing and repair work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
A keen eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness and safety.
A caring, approachable, and professional attitude.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
