Dora Rose Care Home are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a Bank contract. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
* Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and collaboration.
* Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining the restaurant's unique identity.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
* Supervise food preparation processes to guarantee quality and consistency in every dish served.
* Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Train new kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety practices, and restaurant policies.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and training.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
* A passion for culinary arts, creativity in menu design, and an understanding of current food trends.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
