Senior Buyer - Directs 12 month contract £300-£350 per day inside IR35 via umbrella Hybrid working 3 days office based, 2 days from home January start date Midlands We're recruiting a Senior Operational Buyer to join a high-performing procurement function within a global engineering and manufacturing business operating across complex, regulated industrial markets. This is a hands-on, analytical role suited to a confident self-starter who thrives in complexity, high data volumes, and operational problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day procurement activity across a complex portfolio, ensuring timely PO release, data integrity, and supplier performance Analyse part movement, pricing, and demand to drive optimisation and informed decision-making Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, issue resolution, and support to qualification and evaluation processes Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with P2P processes, procurement guidelines, and systems Key Skills & Requirements: Strong experience using SAP 5 years' experience in direct procurement, ideally within aerospace or industrial environments Highly analytical, confident handling large volumes of data, with a lean and improvement-focused mindset Independent, solution-oriented “fixer” able to work with minimal supervision and manage complex commodities (castings/forgings highly desirable) If this role resonates with you, please respond with an updated copy of your CV.
