We’re hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join a major UK financial services organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation, including the integration of a newly acquired bank.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine hands-on Android development with technical leadership, helping shape modern mobile platforms used by millions of customers.

What you’ll be doing
* Designing and building high-quality Android applications
* Acting as a technical SME within the team
* Driving best practices across code quality, architecture and CI/CD
* Supporting production systems and incident resolution
* Contributing to platform and system-level decisions, not just mobile UI
Tech stack and environment
* Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines
* CI/CD: Modern automated pipelines
* Ways of working: Agile, DevOps
* Exposure to:
* Cloud and backend integrations
* Monitoring, observability and live service support
What we’re looking for
* Strong experience in Android development (Kotlin ideally)
* Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns
* Ability to operate as a senior engineer or technical lead
* Experience delivering and supporting production applications
* A mindset focused on ownership, quality and continuous improvement
Nice to have:
* iOS exposure (Swift / SwiftUI)
* Experience in financial services or regulated environments
