Job Description

Role requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification
* Experience in designing mechanical handling or robotic systems
* Ability to produce detailed technical reports and specifications
* Experience engaging with clients and understanding their needs
* Experience in regulated environments with QA processes
Preferred experience
* Nuclear industry experience
* Design of heavy machinery like cranes, hoists, conveyers
* Automation or robotic technology implementation
* Bid writing for safety-critical projects
* Knowledge of design codes (BS EN13001, BS 2573, ASME B30)
* CAD skills, especially Autodesk Inventor
* Proficiency in hand calculations (e.g., MATHCAD)
* Chartered status or nearing application
