Summary
Do you have experience of providing Programme Management expertise, on a large complex Finance Transformation ERP replacement programme?
Our client, a leading Insurance company is looking for a Programme Director to oversee the replacement of legacy SAP General Ledger, Finance, and Reporting systems with a modern Oracle SaaS-based ERP solution. This is a high-profile role for a proven delivery leader with deep expertise in Finance Transformation, ERP implementation (ideally Oracle Cloud), and experience working within complex, regulated financial services environments.
The project needs a consultant who has:
* Significant experience delivering Finance Transformation Programmes within large, complex organisations, budgets in the region of £80m.
* Proven track record of managing ERP implementations, ideally Oracle Cloud (ERP / Fusion).
* Extensive experience managing multiple stakeholders.
* Prior experience in Insurance is essential.
Strong consulting background, preferably from a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm is desired.
Key services
The key services that you will be asked to provide are:
* Lead the initial delivery of the Finance Transformation Programme, overseeing planning, governance, implementation, and stakeholder management.
* Partner with senior Finance and Technology leaders to ensure programme objectives align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
* Manage third-party vendors and system integrators, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
* Oversee business readiness, change management, and adoption activities across Finance and wider business functions.
* Define and manage programme risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation.
* Drive effective communication and reporting across executive and operational levels.
* Ensure alignment between finance process redesign, data migration, and technology enablement.
Mandatory Requirements
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:
* Significant experience delivering Finance Transformation Programmes within large, complex organisations budgets in the region of £80m.
* Proven track record of managing ERP implementations, ideally Oracle Cloud (ERP / Fusion) and/or SAP.
* Prior experience in Insurance is essential.
* Strong consulting background, preferably from a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at C-suite and programme board level.
* Demonstrable experience in programme governance, budget control, and benefits tracking.
* In-depth understanding of Finance processes, controls, and reporting structures.
Optional Requirements
It will also be advantageous if you have:
* Experience overseeing transition from legacy SAP on-premise systems to Oracle SaaS environments.
* Exposure to IFRS 17, Solvency II, or other Insurance regulatory frameworks.
* Strong vendor management experience, particularly with system integrators.
* Change management and business adoption leadership.
