East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) in Cranbrook, BC is an 80-bed regional referral center serving approximately 82,000 people. It offers 24‑hour emergency and trauma services, a 16‑bed dedicated bay, a 6‑bed ICU, and a high‑acuity response team (HART). The facility includes a level‑3 laboratory, recent additions such as a PCR machine, MALDI/TOF, MRI suite, SPECT CT, and planned upgrades to the NICU, emergency triage, oncology, and renal departments. EKRH delivers a comprehensive range of services including internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, pathology, psychiatry, pediatrics, anesthesia, radiology, urology, and family practice inpatient care.

Compensation
* Compensation Type: Fee‑for‑Service
* Estimated Remuneration: Competitive
* Retention Premium: 14%
* Retention Flat Fee: $21,696.00
* Relocation Funding Available – $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada
* Recruitment Incentive: $20,000
