This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that strong controls dont slow a business down, they protect it. Youll take ownership of IT governance, risk, and compliance activities, with a particular focus on SOX. Your remit is to build, operate, and continuously improve a resilient IT control framework that stands up to scrutiny and scales with the business. The role Own delivery of the IT SOX compliance lifecycle, from control design through to ongoing assurance Strengthen and mature the IT control environment across applications, infrastructure, and access management Identify weaknesses early, lead remediation efforts, and reduce audit findings before they surface Work closely with Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and external auditors to assess risk and evidence control effectiveness Drive Segregation of Duties oversight, including access reviews, risk evaluation, and corrective action Perform cyber risk assessments, covering system changes, security exposure, and resilience Embed automation and smarter ways of working to improve control efficiency and audit readiness Translate complex IT risk and compliance topics into clear, executive-level reporting Your background Degree-qualified in IT, engineering, or a related technical discipline Extensive experience across IT risk, IT audit, SOX, or information security Strong practical knowledge of SOX requirements, ITGCs, ITACs, and control assurance Demonstrated ability to evaluate IT controls and perform risk-based assessments across diverse technologies Advantageous experience Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA ERP and enterprise application control experience (e.g. SAP or Similar) Exposure to GRC tooling such as AuditBoard or equivalent platforms Experience streamlining or automating control activities What you'll get in return: Competitive Salary (Up to £60,000) Extensive Benefits Package Hybrid working (3 days in Belfast office) Modern Workspace The opportunity to Develop and grow with a global scaling business!
