Senior Sous Chef – Luxury Venue near Maidstone, Kent
We’re seeking an experienced and creative Senior Sous Chef to join the team at a stunning hospitality venue set in the Kent countryside. You’ll support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional culinary standards, and inspiring a passionate team to deliver memorable dining experiences for every guest.
What you’ll do:
* Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, and event services
* Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure consistency and excellence
* Maintain impeccable food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
* Contribute to menu development, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients
* Support stock control, ordering, and kitchen administration
* Step up to cover Head Chef duties in their absence
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef in a quality hotel, restaurant, or event venue
* A passion for modern British cuisine and locally sourced produce
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A calm, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding food
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the rural location
