Job Title: Band 5 Community Nurse (Agency) Location: Bridgnorth Community Hospital Duration: 2 months initially (with potential extension) Working Pattern: 7-day rota Shift times between 08:00 - 18:00 Flexible patterns available: 4 long days, or 5 shorter days (08:00-16:00 / 08:30-16:30 / 10:00-18:00) Block booking preferred £17 - £30PH Role Overview We are seeking experienced Band 5 Community Nurses to support services at Bridgnorth Community Hospital. This role requires clinicians with a strong background in community or district nursing, capable of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a range of clinical needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care within a community setting Manage and treat patients with complex and simple wound care needs Perform Doppler assessments and administer compression therapy Provide compassionate end-of-life care Safely administer medications in line with clinical guidelines Carry out catheterisation procedures (male, female, and suprapubic) Deliver bowel care management Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Essential Skills & Experience Registered Nurse (Band 5 or equivalent) with valid professional registration Proven experience in community or district nursing Competency in: Complex wound care (including Doppler and compression) General wound care End-of-life care Medication administration Catheterisation (male, female, suprapubic) Bowel care Ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively Additional Requirements Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred due to community nature of role) Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota Strong communication and interpersonal skills This is an excellent opportunity for skilled community nurses seeking flexible agency work with consistent block bookings in a supportive healthcare environment.
