Community Learning Disability Team Manager

NELFT Redbridge are delighted to offer the post of Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) manager as a substantive position. This post was recently created due to a change in operational management for the service which previously sat within a Local Authority portfolio. Following a structure review the service is now operationally managed in NELFT, so the successful post holder will have all the benefits of being in a NHS organisational structure with learning disability operational pathways and specialists across the Trust, and part of the wider Senior Leadership Team in the NELFT Redbridge directorate. The multi‑disciplinary learning disability team consists of staff including Psychiatrists, Nurses, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists and Physiotherapists with LD specialism, as well as peer support workers and admin staff. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a multi‑disciplinary team. They should have a good understanding of the particular issues facing the carers of, and people with learning disabilities and autism, and be passionate about supporting them to be involved in their own care. They would need to understand the legal frameworks that govern the work and support partnership working with the Local Authority. The main duties of the role can be outlined as:
Main duties of the job
To take the lead in NELFT Redbridge to develop and ensure the safe and timely provision of assessment and care services for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. To manage the staff and resources within the Community Learning Disability Team to ensure that effective systems and processes are in place and adhered to in order to deliver appropriate services to adults with learning disabilities in the context of their need and NELFT policies.

Probationary Period
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London: This post also attracts payment for a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,1371 per annum, pro rata for part time) or High Cost Area Supplement – Fringe: This post also attracts payment for a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,346 and a maximum payment of £2,270 per annum, pro rata for part time).

When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust.
