GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Worksop. As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored education to students who require additional emotional and behavioural support. Key Responsibilities of the SEMH Teacher: Design and deliver inspiring lessons tailored to the unique needs of SEMH learners. Create a supportive, inclusive, and caring classroom atmosphere. Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to support students’ overall growth. Apply effective behaviour management techniques and encourage constructive peer relationships. Track, assess, and report pupil progress while adjusting teaching methods to suit individual development. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. We greatly value a background in supporting children or young people with SEMH needs. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Empathetic, calm, and flexible approach to teaching and support. Solid understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection protocols.
