Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEND
Location: Bedford
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full Time (Term-Time, Long-Term with Potential for Permanent)
Day Rate: £80 - £90 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to children within the Specialist Unit, promoting independence and confidence
* Assist with the delivery of individual learning programmes and interventions
* Support the class teacher in maintaining a calm, safe, and engaging environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external agencies
* Celebrate every achievement and uphold the school's inclusive values

Requirements
* Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
* A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and a good sense of humour
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* A willingness to learn and develop professionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
