Global Contract Services Prime Negotiator London As a Barclays Global Contract Services (GCS) Prime Negotiator, you will be part of a global team within Markets Legal that is primarily accountable for the negotiation and execution of master trading documentation for Barclays' client-facing Markets business. Your primary focus will be to draft, negotiate and execute various capital markets contract documentation supporting the Prime Services and Prime Derivatives Services (PDS) businesses of Barclays. What will you be doing? Assisting in the prime brokerage, futures, and related financing businesses by drafting, negotiating and executing capital markets contract documentation Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and documentation risk controls and adhering to associated guidelines and procedures Conducting independent legal analysis and managing relationships with external counsel where necessary and within Barclays requirements on external legal spend Advising senior stakeholders in Sales, Trading, Risk, Compliance and Operations with respect to risks, controls and complex legal issues Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with senior stakeholders to establish client trading relationships and drive business priorities Identifying processes that can be improved around data capture, technology, and documentation guidelines Seeking pro-actively resolution to blockages in negotiations by working with other colleagues or stakeholders. Providing creative and pragmatic solutions to progressing the negotiations, and providing succinct and clear explanations of the legal issues and the rational of decisions reached What we're looking for: Substantial experience, competence and knowledge of the suite of prime services agreements within the Financial Services industry Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Skills that will help you in the role: Subject matter expertise in prime services agreements (futures agreement, OTC Clearing Agreement, ISDA/CSA, intermediation agreements (e.g. FXPB), repurchase agreements) Solid grasp and competence of the importance of legal risk management in the context of document negotiation & regulatory developments in prime services and derivatives industry Where will you be working?
