Are you looking for a role where you can take the lead and make a real impact? At Moorpark Place, a residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, we are seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist (equivalent to Band 7) to join our team.

You’ll play a vital role in shaping and delivering our OT provision, working closely with our residents to help them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. This is a fantastic opportunity to work autonomously in your practice while being part of a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.

At Moorpark Place, the impact of specialist care can be life-changing. Recently, one of the people we support, Sean, completed his Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Mount Snowdon. With the right support, determination, and encouragement, Sean achieved something truly extraordinary. Stories like his show the power of therapy and teamwork, and as our Lead OT, you’ll be a key part of making these achievements possible.

What you'll be working:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

Your impact:

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

1. Lead on Occupational Therapy provision at Moorpark Place
2. Manage a varied and complex caseload, providing highly specialist OT interventions tailored to individual needs
3. Offer guidance and advice to colleagues across the multidisciplinary team on OT-related issues
4. Keep up to date with evidence-based practice and contributing to service development
5. Evaluate effectiveness of the service and carrying out audits where required
6. Take responsibility for OT-related training and supporting the development of staff across the service
7. Ensure robust risk management and safety procedures are in place and adhered to
8. Build strong, meaningful relationships with patients, carers, colleagues, and visitors
9. Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate professional who is:

10. HCPC registered
11. Skilled in working with adults with autism and learning disabilities
12. Confident in managing a complex caseload independently
13. A strong communicator with experience of multidisciplinary working
14. Passionate about helping people achieve their potential and live full, active lives
15. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
