Role Overview: As the Multi Skilled Technician you will ensure electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance and repair aspects are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner. What you will do: • Responsible for site mechanical and electrical assets, ensuring they are maintained and repaired to the appropriate statutory, regulatory and Client standards. • Ensure reporting of any equipment or performance issues to your supervisor and the BBC Helpdesk. • Assistance in the preparation of estimates / quotations as required. • Willing to assist with works outside normal skill set as / if required. • Where applicable hold the responsibility for allocated work orders from receipt to completion. • An understanding of Low Voltage systems including Prime Movers and UPS. • To hold or work towards Approved Person, Competent Person Status Mechanical, Electrical and Confined Space, etc. • Good understanding of water and plumbing systems and able to complete maintenance and breakdown work on these. Person Specification Who you will be: • C&G Electrical / Mechanical qualification is required - or ability to work towards. • Completed or working towards apprenticeship in electrical / mechanical engineering. • Qualified to at least 18th Edition or willing to undertake. • C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing - Preferred. • Approved Person – Mechanical / Electrical – Preferred – Work towards • Competent Person – Low Voltage and Confined Spaces – Preferred. • Trained Person status – Hot and cold water systems – Preferred. • Experience of the maintenance of LV distribution systems – Preferred. • Experience of standby power systems including prime movers and UPS. • Understanding of basic A/C systems and controls. • Experience in a wide range of electrical and mechanical plant, working within a critical environment would be an advantage.
