WHAT IS INVOLVED?
As an Early Help Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and families across County Durham. Working within our Early Help Development Team, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of partners across the early help system including professionals in schools, health services, and community organisations to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Coaching and mentoring practitioners to deliver effective early help.
* Facilitating workshops and group activities to strengthen local early help offers.
* Supporting multi-agency partners to identify needs and create robust Child & Family Plans.
* Helping families build resilience by connecting them with community-based services.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You’ll bring:
* A relevant practitioner qualification (degree level or above) in fields such as Health, Social Care, Education, Housing, Family Work, Youth Work, or similar.
* Recent and substantial experience supporting vulnerable children and families in home or community settings.
* Strong partnership-building skills and the ability to work effectively in multi-agency environments.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and early help processes.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* A flexible, proactive approach and a commitment to making a difference.

INTERVIEWS
Interviews will be held on week commencing 16th March 2026.
