Responsibilities
We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Part Time Support Worker with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you’ll help people gain more independence in their daily lives, while working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and engaging in activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs; the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
Qualifications and Requirements
We’re interested in our Support Workers having the right values. This service expects you to hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in your approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice, and have experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex needs with mental health challenges, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
