Accountancy practices and bookkeepers (known as practices) are a key audience for FreeAgent. The Practice Marketing team plays a central role in designing customer journeys, delivering campaigns and events to acquire new practice partners, supporting them in onboarding their clients, and encouraging continued client adoption.

The role
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in delivering our growth strategy for existing practice partners, while also supporting go-to-market activity for new product enhancements, integrations, and MTD for Income Tax.
You'll focus on driving multi-channel communications and creating engaging partner experiences that develop knowledgeable, motivated practices. You'll work closely with sales, marketing, support, and product teams to deliver a seamless, customer-centric journey that strengthens partner relationships and increases client adoption.
This will primarily be in the following areas:
* Supporting Senior Marketing Manager on marketing preparations for the launch of
MTD for Income Tax
across all audiences. This includes the ownership of paid social activity across our key platforms.
* Implementation of our
practice integrations marketing activity
, working closely with the Practice Growth and Practice Engagement teams to develop impactful go-to-market plans and deliver greater FreeAgent visibility with our partners audience.
* Ownership and management of the
Practice webinar programme
through ON24. This includes both live webinars and also the management of recently introduced On Demand webinars.
* Supporting and executing go-to-market plans for our roadmap of
practice specific product updates
.
Day to day your role will involve/you'll be helping customers by
* Supporting the team on MTD for Income Tax marketing activity
* Managing our practice integrations relationships and communications
* Owning the annual practice webinar programme calendar; end-to-end management of FreeAgent practice webinars, with a specific focus on MTD for Income Tax
* Delivering sales co-branded collateral requests and product updates communications
* Enhancing the customer experience for all existing practice partners who signed up with FreeAgent.
* Managing relationships and marketing activity with our integration partners; securing internal resource and space within our communication channels alongside working with partners to promote FreeAgent to their customers.
* Owning paid and organic social media activity in relation to MTD for Income Tax. Launching, reporting and optimising of campaigns ensuring we're making full use of creative, messaging and budget.
* Planning of Practice Portal planning & Newsletter email send.
* Motivating growth through enabling and empowering the sales team with messaging and collateral to enhance their relationships.
* Optimising the SDR (sales development reps) handover process to increase propensity to add clients after the Account Manager/Business Development Manager takes ownership of the partner.
* Being the voice of our practice users. Developing and then demonstrating a strong understanding of the market, competitor positioning, accountant and bookkeeper practice challenges and needs, and knowledge of the range of their clients.
* Having an understanding of audience segmentation and using this to develop and deliver tailored communications to our practice partners.
* Analysing qualitative and quantitative data and insights to support strategic development, review KPIs and drive campaigns.
* Reporting on the growth, revenue, engagement and client add KPI targets for existing partners.
* Developing and executing project milestones, campaign briefs and managing others to deliver to agreed deadlines.
* Managing campaign budgets and calculating ROI where relevant.
* Relaying plans to stakeholders, including positioning/messaging, opportunities amongst wider marketing and bringing other team members in when appropriate.
* Partnering with the Sales Managers to identify areas for improvement in our partner engagement and growth activity and leading their implementation.
* Collaborating across the Practice Marketing team to ensure the customer journey feels seamless to each partner and their PMCs.
You
Ideally you'll have:
* Experience building and developing communication plans to increase customer engagement and strengthen relationships, ideally in a SaaS environment.
* Experience of managing online events and webinars. Knowledge of paid social activity, ideally through LinkedIn and Meta.
* Good knowledge and experience of B2B marketing strategy and principles
* Understanding of designing and implementing multi-channel customer conversion & retention campaigns.
* Demonstrable ability to create programmes of activity and then deliver on those plans.
* Excellent analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and understanding of multi-touch attribution models.
* Track record of testing and optimising marketing activity and strategies.
* Ability to track and understand campaign analytics to derive insights.
* Ability to process new or emerging concepts and information outside your domain, alongside leading a multi-disciplinary group.
* Experience working with CRM systems to manage and report on campaigns, ideally Salesforce.
* Either a degree or professional qualification in marketing, or evidence of extensive experience in marketing.
* An understanding of brand and how it can be flexed for different audiences.

Work pattern for this role
This is a permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) .
This role will be based in our Edinburgh office, however there will be an opportunity to adopt hybrid working, under an agreed pattern of 2 days from the office and 3 days at home each week. Working from home is second nature to us as we have been championing remote working for 16 years.
Perks
Annual starting salary of £25,500 - £30,000 per annum
depending on experience, with room to progress to £32,000 within the band.
