This is a mobile position involving repair, maintenance, and overhaul of mechanical and hydraulic power presses and associated equipment at customer sites across the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will be expected to undertake work including:Planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and hydraulic power pressesFault-finding across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsStrip-downs, rebuilds, component replacements, and safety checksAssessing machine condition and completing compliance inspectionsWorking independently and as part of an engineering teamCompleting job sheets and service documentation accurately and promptlySupporting customers on-site with technical guidanceFollowing company and customer Health & Safety procedures at all timesEssential Skills & Experience (Requested by the Client)Candidates must be able to demonstrate:Time-served Mechanical Engineer with proof of indentured trainingMinimum 5 years mechanical maintenance experience in heavy industrial environmentsStrong mechanical bench-fitting skillsPractical experience with mechanical power pressesWorking knowledge of:Gearboxes and transmission systemsHydraulic systemsPneumatic systemsFull UK Driving Licence (for mobile work)Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory)Experience with hydraulic overload systemsKnowledge of power press safety standardsBasic electrical fault-finding skillsPersonal AttributesThe ideal candidate will be:A strong communicator able to liaise confidently with customersMethodical, analytical, and effective at solving engineering faultsAble to manage workload independentlyProfessional, reliable, and adaptablePersistent and calm when diagnosing complex issuesQualifications (Required by the Client)Essential:Time-served Mechanical EngineerFluent English to complete documentation and communicate with clientsDesirable:Basic PC literacy (for job sheets)Training & Development (Provided by the Client)The client offers training in the following areas where required:FLTOverhead Crane (OHC)MEWPsAdditional InformationMobile role with regular travel across the UKMay involve overnight stays, out-of-hours work, and short-notice call-outsCompany vehicle, tools, and PPE provided by the clientAll assignments are subject to right-to-work checks and skills assessmentTPBN1_UKTJ
