We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, kitchen management, and menu planning. Mon to Fri 8.30am-3pm
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Plan and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs.
* Lead catering events and banquets, ensuring exceptional service and presentation.
* Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary.
* Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
* Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within fine dining or high-volume environments.
* Strong background in food service management, including restaurant management or catering experience.
* Demonstrated ability in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management.
* Experience with inventory management and control processes.
* Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
* Previous supervisory experience is preferred, showcasing team management skills.
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food industry is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with bartending principles is a plus.
