Working on behalf of our client a well-established engineering manufacturer supplying bespoke chemical dosing, water treatment and process equipment to major UK utilities and industrial clients.
Role Overview
As a Process Design Engineer specialising in chemical dosing systems, you will be responsible for the design, development, optimisation and commissioning of chemical dosing systems. Youll work closely with design, production and commissioning teams to ensure systems meet customer requirements, regulatory standards and internal quality expectations from concept through to hand-over.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop process design deliverables including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, calculations and technical specifications.
2. Define chemical dosing strategies, equipment sizing, instrumentation requirements and control philosophies.
3. Support the build, FAT and commissioning of dosing systems, both onsite and in the factory.
4. Provide technical advice during installation and commissioning phases, liaising with clients and project teams.
5. Carry out process risk assessments, COSHH assessments and ensure systems comply with relevant safety and environmental legislation.
