Our client, a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in Washington, is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to become a valued part of their close-knit team. You'll play an important role supporting accounts, administration, and payroll functions, with full training provided and the chance to develop your skills long term.

What's on Offer?
1. FTE Salary: Up to £31, depending on experience + company performance bonus
2. Permanent, Office-Based Role
3. Part-Time Hours: 3 days per week, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday but this can be discussed for the right person, 9:00am - 5:00pm, 22.5 - 24 hours per week
4. Option to work through lunch to support phone cover (8-hour day), or take a 30-minute unpaid lunch (7.5-hour day)
Some flexibility is required to occasionally provide full-time holiday cover with advance notice.

The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position where you'll support the smooth running of accounts and office administration processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Support
14. Managing purchase and sales ledgers
15. Processing invoices, supplier payments, and expenses
16. Supporting credit control and bank reconciliations
17. Assisting with month-end procedures and VAT returns
18. Monitoring and managing the accounts inbox
General Administration
19. Updating supplier records and maintaining accurate documentation
20. Filing, scanning, and providing general office support
21. Handling incoming calls and visitor enquiries
22. Maintaining workwear and equipment inventory
23. Supporting compliance with ISO auditing processes
HR & Payroll Support (Following Probation)
24. Maintaining employee records and personnel files
25. Assisting with recruitment administration and onboarding
26. Supporting payroll administration including holiday approvals and sickness records
What We're Looking For
27. Previous administration experience, ideally within accounts or finance
28. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
29. Professional and confidential approach
30. Confident communication skills with the ability to work across departments
31. Good Microsoft Office skills
32. Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks would be advantageous (training provided - the business uses Xero)
Additional Information
33. Full UK driving licence or reliable transport required due to limited public transport links
34. Two references required
35. Subject to satisfactory basic DBS check
