Teach Now is seeking a skilled, patient, and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Enfield. This is a full-time, term-time position working as part of a 2:1 support team for a Year 3 pupil with complex additional needs. You’ll be part of a highly supportive staff team that values collaboration, care, and consistency in helping every child achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities • Provide 2:1 support for a child with significant and complex needs. • Offer physical guidance and assistance throughout the school day, ensuring safety and comfort. • Support the pupil’s independence with personal care – the child can change independently with verbal prompts but does not currently use the toilet. • Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual education plan (IEP) and developmental needs. • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and partner TA to create a nurturing and structured environment. • Encourage engagement, communication, and participation in all aspects of school life. Requirements • Proven experience supporting pupils with complex physical or learning needs. • Confident in providing physical assistance and guidance. • Patient, compassionate, and calm under pressure. • Relevant qualification in education or SEN support (preferred, but experience is essential). • A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a lasting impact.
