The Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Analytical Scientist to join our team on a permanent, onsite basis in Alnwick. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, validating, and applying analytical methodologies that ensure the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. You will provide specialist advice, resolve technical challenges related to analytical methods, and ensure compliance with GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements applicable to the role. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Develop, validate, and report analytical methodology and where appropriate, provide resolution to technical problems. Prepare work protocols for approval, critically assess data generated and review data from peers. Prepare and review reports, quality documents and training documents. Analysis of drug substances, raw materials, intermediates, and drug products using a variety of analytical techniques. Apply analytical methodologies during the quality control and stability evaluation of a range of materials. Acquire / record data in a manner that complies with GxP and internal policies/procedures. Perform assigned roles such as equipment responsible operator, training, equipment hardware and/or software validation and the ordering of consumable items. Work with due regard for health and safety of self and others. Work flexibly across the site to meet business needs. About You BSc (Hons) or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline Proven experience applying analytical methodologies in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment. Strong ability to critically analyse data and solve technical challenges. Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members is desirable. Working knowledge of GLP, GMP, and/or GCP regulations. Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
