Common Thread have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker to join us at our Service in Abington, South Lanarkshire. The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced worker in Residential Child Care to support the House Manager to lead on the day-to-day operations of one of our residential homes. This is a key leadership role, responsible for creating a stable, safe and caring environment for the young people in our care, while supporting and developing a team of Therapeutic Support workers.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience within residential care or relevant field
* Relevant professional qualifications HNC Social Care. SVQ level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People or equivalent is essential.
* SVQ level 4 Social Services (Children and Young People or equivalent is desirable.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
* A trauma-informed approach and understanding of complex behavioural needs
* Ability to work flexibly participating in sleep over shifts and on call which will involve weekend working.
* Full UK driving license
